Kanawha County, WV — The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office has identified the teenager who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Rocky Fork Road on November 19, 2025. The victim has been confirmed as 17-year-old Wylie Wilkinson, a student at Sissonville High School.
The crash occurred in the 7100 block of Rocky Fork Road as the vehicle was traveling from Sissonville toward Cross Lanes. According to investigators, the vehicle drifted into the left lane before sharply correcting back, leaving the roadway and plunging into a ravine. The vehicle landed on its side and struck a tree. Metro Communications was alerted by both a passing driver and an Apple crash notification.
Wylie was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office extended its deepest condolences to Wylie’s family, sharing that their thoughts and prayers are with them during this heartbreaking time. The agency also acknowledged the profound impact of this loss on Wylie’s friends, classmates, and the entire Sissonville High School community, who are now mourning the tragic passing of a young life gone far too soon.
