The Birmingham community is mourning the tragic loss of 32-year-old Willie Rasean Raby, whose life ended on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, following a shooting in the 3200 block of 33rd Avenue North.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Willie was shot around 6:46 p.m. Birmingham Police and first responders rushed to the scene, and he was transported to UAB Hospital, where medical teams worked urgently to save his life. Despite their efforts, Willie passed away later that evening, just before 10:30 p.m., leaving his family and loved ones devastated.
Willie was far more than the circumstances of his death.
