Clackamas County, Ore. — The community of Oregon City is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 22-year-old Akahieleu Redo, whose life tragically came to an end on the morning of November 16, 2025, following a fatal crash on Highway 224 near milepost 14.
Akahieleu, a resident of Oregon City, was traveling westbound on his Yamaha R6 when he lost control while navigating a curve. The motorcycle left the roadway, hit a mound of dirt, and went airborne before coming to rest in a nearby tree. Despite the swift response from Oregon State Police and emergency crews, Akahieleu sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced gone at the scene.
Those who knew and loved him are left devastated by the sudden loss of a bright, kind, and promising young man. Akahieleu’s family, friends, and the Oregon City community will remember him for his warm spirit, his passions, and the impact he made in his short but meaningful life.
