In Loving Memory of Cortney Savannah Schultz

The community of Black River Falls is mourning the tragic loss of 35-year-old Cortney Savannah Schultz, who passed away in a fatal rollover crash early Saturday morning in Jackson County, Wisconsin. Her sudden passing has left her family, friends, and all who knew her in deep sorrow as they cope with the loss of a beloved woman whose presence brought warmth and kindness to many.

According to information released by authorities, the crash occurred shortly after midnight on West Blair Road near County Highway N. A 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck left the roadway, struck a power pole, and overturned. Cortney, identified as the passenger in the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and tragically passed away at the scene.

Another individual in the vehicle, 34-year-old Casey James Kersting, also of Black River Falls, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Investigators have not yet determined who was driving the truck at the time of the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Cortney’s loss is deeply felt throughout the community. She is remembered as a bright and caring person whose compassion and strength touched the lives of many.
