Virginia State Police were called to Level Run Road around 7:45 p.m. Thursday, where a tragic scene awaited them just east of Moods Road.
According to authorities, a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling west when it suddenly left the roadway, descended an embankment, and struck multiple trees with devastating force. Corey Davis, the driver and sole occupant, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. He was transported to Centra Gretna Medical Center, where he later passed away from his injuries.
