SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Family, friends, and the Springfield community are mourning the tragic loss of 37-year-old Kendra Kittrell, who passed away Tuesday evening following a motor vehicle crash on West Washington Street.
Kendra was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital after the accident, but despite the efforts of medical teams, she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. An autopsy confirmed that she died from blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the crash.
Kendra’s passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is remembered for her warmth, her resilience, and the compassion she shared so freely with others. Her life, though cut far too short, touched many people in meaningful ways.
As the investigation into the crash continues, her loved ones are holding tightly to treasured memories — her laughter, her kindness, and the light she brought into every room. Kendra’s spirit will continue to live on in all who were blessed to be part of her life.
May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory bring comfort to those who are grieving her loss.
