MILTON, Fla. — The Milton Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Mary Street on Monday, November 24, 2025. At approximately 4:31 p.m., officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots near Lucille Johnson Park. Upon arrival, they located 31-year-old Tervon Jackson, a Milton resident, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing three males fleeing the area, two of whom were partially masked. Using local surveillance footage and witness photographs, Milton Police identified and tracked the suspects. A K-9 unit assisted in following the trail from the scene to a wooded swamp area near Pine Street, where three males matching witness descriptions were located hiding in the water. Authorities recovered additional clothing consistent with witness reports and two semi-automatic handguns nearby.
The individuals were detained and transported to the Milton Police Department for questioning. Following interviews, 21-year-old Jayden Jamarco Wright was arrested and charged with murder – dangerous depraved/homicide (F.S.S. 782.04.2, Class: Felony). Wright was transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail and is being held without bond, awaiting his first appearance hearing.
The autopsy for Tervon Jackson was completed earlier today, and the recovered firearms have been submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for forensic examination.
The Milton Police Department thanked the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, as well as FDLE Crime Scene Technicians and the Investigations Unit, for their assistance in locating and apprehending the suspects, collecting evidence, and processing the scene.
