The Kahlotus community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of 77-year-old Perrie N. Robitaille, who died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 395 near Vineyard Drive in Pasco, Washington.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Perrie’s vehicle, a white Hyundai Elantra, failed to yield while traveling eastbound on Vineyard Drive and was struck by an SUV traveling north on Highway 395. Troopers attempted to provide lifesaving care at the scene, but Perrie was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

This marks the 10th fatal crash in this area over the last five years, highlighting the ongoing challenges and dangers of the stretch of highway where Perrie’s life was tragically lost.
