The Taunton and Freetown communities are mourning the sudden and tragic loss of 52-year-old Manuel Andrade, who died Friday evening in a highway crash on Route 140 south in Freetown, Massachusetts.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Andrade was operating a tow truck in the left travel lane when another vehicle in the right lane struck his truck. The impact caused the tow truck to fall from an overpass onto Washburn Road below, resulting in fatal injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Manuel was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver involved was uninjured and remained on site.
