MANCHESTER, Ohio — Christopher Lindner, 40, the son of businessman Carl Lindner III, was fatally shot by police in Adams County on November 14, according to the Adams County Coroner, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Authorities say the incident followed a vehicle pursuit that ended at a residence in Manchester. Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that officers made repeated attempts to get Lindner to surrender. However, he allegedly exited the residence holding a firearm, at which point an officer-involved shooting occurred.
Lindner was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of the vehicle chase or the identities of the officers involved.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and local authorities are continuing their investigation into the fatal incident.
