Lancaster, Pa. — The Lancaster community is mourning the tragic loss of 43-year-old Bethany Lynn Tomassetti, who died on Friday, November 21, 2025, in a head-on crash on Route 322 near South Mountain Road.
According to the Cornwall Borough Police Department, Bethany was driving her SUV eastbound when she crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a farm truck. First responders arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, including CPR, but Bethany was pronounced deceased at the scene. Tragically, a yellow Labrador that had been riding with her also lost its life. The driver of the farm truck was unharmed. The collision caused a fuel spill of roughly 500 gallons, temporarily closing the roadway as crews worked to manage the spill and clear the scene.
Bethany is remembered in Lancaster as a warm, compassionate, and caring individual whose presence touched the lives of everyone she knew. Friends, family, and neighbors recall her generosity, her joyful spirit, and the way she brought light to those around her. Her sudden passing has left the community heartbroken.
