In Loving Memory of Jeremy Lawrence Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Jeremy Lawrence Jr., who lost his life late Friday night during an officer-involved shooting in Pine Bluff. Jeremy was identified by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley after being fatally wounded near 27th Avenue and Maple.

According to officials, the incident began when Pine Bluff Police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle. After the vehicle came to a stop, three individuals—including Jeremy—exited. Jeremy reportedly fled on foot, where authorities say he exchanged gunfire with officers. He was struck multiple times and transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he later passed away. Two other individuals from the vehicle were detained, and the Arkansas State Police are now leading the investigation.

While the circumstances remain under review, the loss itself is devastating. Jeremy was more than the moments that made headlines—he was someone’s family, someone’s friend, someone whose presence mattered. His sudden passing leaves loved ones grieving deeply and a community shaken by the weight of such an unexpected tragedy.

As those closest to him navigate this painful time, may they find comfort in shared memories, quiet strength, and the support of all who care. May Jeremy’s life be remembered with dignity, and may peace surround those who mourn him.

Rest peacefully, Jeremy Lawrence Jr.

Gone too soon, forever remembered.
