The Greensboro community is grieving the tragic loss of 40-year-old Delorean Nickerson, lovingly known to many as “Abg Reddevil.” Delorean’s life was taken far too soon on Wednesday evening, November 26, 2025, following a fatal shooting at a home in the 1700 block of Rainbow Drive.
Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded just after 5 p.m. to reports of a shooting at the residence. When first responders arrived, they found Delorean suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts at the scene, he was pronounced dead at approximately 5:20 p.m. His next of kin have since been notified.
According to investigators, all individuals involved in the incident have been identified, and the case remains an active homicide investigation. Delorean’s death marks the 36th homicide in Greensboro in 2025, adding to a year already filled with heartbreaking violence and loss.
