AMBER ALERT: 13-Year-Old Jessika Francisco Abducted in Weber County; Suspect Armed and Dangerous

WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Authorities have issued an urgent AMBER Alert for 13-year-old Jessika Francisco, who investigators say was abducted in a non-family kidnapping in the Ogden area on Wednesday. Officials warn that Jessika is believed to be in immediate and serious danger, and a statewide search is now underway.

The Utah Department of Public Safety has identified the suspect as 34-year-old Christopher Thomas Wiggins, a registered sex offender who is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators believe Wiggins fled the area with Jessika in a white Hyundai Sonata bearing Utah license plate A999FH. Law enforcement agencies across the state are on alert as they work to locate the vehicle.

Suspect Christopher Wiggins is described as 5’6”, 120 pounds, with blonde or strawberry-colored hair and brown eyes.

Missing child Jessika Francisco is described as 4’6”, 90 pounds, with blonde or strawberry-colored hair and blue eyes.

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding the abduction indicate immediate risk to Jessika’s safety. Officials are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any possible sightings of the suspect, the child, or the Hyundai Sonata by calling 911 immediately. Because of the suspect’s violent risk profile, police emphasize that no one should attempt to engage or approach Wiggins.

The investigation remains active and rapidly evolving. The Utah DPS is advising residents to monitor alert.utah.gov and local media for verified updates as new information becomes available.

Community members are encouraged to share the alert widely in hopes of bringing Jessika home safely.
