PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department is actively searching for 19-year-old Elijah Jones in connection with a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 46-year-old Reginald Bates.
The incident occurred early Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at approximately 12:26 a.m. Officers from the 22nd District responded to reports of gunfire and a male with a weapon in the 2100 block of North 32nd Street. Upon arrival, police found Bates suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m.
Elijah Jones, a Black male from the 2100 block of North 32nd Street, is considered armed and dangerous. Witnesses reported seeing Jones fleeing the scene wearing all-black clothing and a camouflage face mask. Authorities are urging the public not to approach him.
Anyone with information regarding Jones’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit or call 911. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
