Fatal Vehicle Collision in Kingman Results in Arrest

KINGMAN, AZ – Authorities have arrested 43-year-old Gilbert Roy Selina of Kingman in connection with a fatal vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Selina faces charges of felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Death/Injury.

At approximately 7:12 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash at the intersection of Northern Avenue and Glen Road. Emergency personnel were performing life-saving measures on the victim, 42-year-old Robert Lee Tighe of Kingman, who was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center. Sadly, Tighe later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators determined that Selina’s vehicle struck Tighe and fled the scene. A second vehicle also hit the victim following the initial collision, and that driver reported the incident to authorities.

Deputies reviewed dispatch calls and found reports of a reckless driver in the area at the time. Surveillance footage led investigators to a home in the 3900 block of Heather Avenue, where they located a silver SUV with significant front-end damage. Selina admitted to striking the victim and leaving the scene, though he claimed another vehicle struck Tighe first.

Selina was arrested without incident and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have said additional charges may be filed as more information becomes available.
