Authorities have made an arrest following a tragic vehicle collision that claimed the life of 53-year-old Janice Lopez, an Uber driver from South Carolina. The impact was devastating. Janice Lopez died at the scene, and a female passenger in the back seat of the Uber sustained critical injuries but has since been released from the hospital. The collision also triggered a chain reaction involving two additional vehicles traveling behind the Uber. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Lincoln Chase Wilson has been formally charged with multiple offenses in connection with the crash, including:

  1. Second-Degree Murder (without regard for human life)
  2. Felony Serious Injury by Vehicle
  3. Felony Death by Motor Vehicle
  4. Driving While Impaired
  5. Speeding
