7-Year-Old Graham Summers Identified as Victim in Tragic I-84 Crash Near Nampa

NAMPA, Idaho — A devastating crash on Interstate 84 has claimed the life of 7-year-old Graham Summers, leaving his family and community heartbroken as they mourn the loss of a young boy taken far too soon.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon just after 3 p.m. near Nampa, when a pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Meridian man rear-ended a box truck operated by a 21-year-old Nampa man, according to Idaho State Police. Graham, a passenger in the pickup, died at the scene despite emergency response efforts. Three additional individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.

On Wednesday, the Canyon County Coroner’s Office confirmed Graham’s identity and reported that his cause of death was blunt force injuries.

As loved ones struggle to cope with the sudden loss, fundraisers have been launched to support the Summers family during this unimaginable time. Graham is remembered as a bright, loving child whose life touched many in his short seven years.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
