Tragedy in Aurora: Two Dead in Shooting at Two Brothers Roundhouse

AURORA, Ill. — The Aurora Police Department and Kane County Coroner’s Office have released additional details about the tragic shooting that occurred on Saturday evening, November 22, 2025, at Two Brothers Roundhouse. The incident claimed the lives of 24-year-old Jazmine Barclay of Aurora and 43-year-old Bryan Heineman of Naperville, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Around 9:10 p.m., Aurora Police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at 205 N. Broadway. Officers arriving on the scene found three individuals with gunshot injuries. Barclay was transported to Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, while Heineman was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 33-year-old male, also injured, remains in critical condition in the ICU. No bystanders were hurt.

According to preliminary investigations, Barclay and Heineman had been in a dating relationship. On Saturday night, Barclay and the 33-year-old male were on the upper-level balcony of the music room when Heineman entered the business, reportedly intending to confront them. Evidence suggests he may have learned of their location via social media. Heineman fired upon the pair before taking his own life.

A firearm and additional evidence consistent with witness statements were recovered at the scene.

“This was a deeply traumatic event for the victims, their families, the employees and patrons who were there, and the community as a whole,” said Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas. “People simply trying to enjoy their night out were suddenly confronted with targeted violence. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and every member of our community who is still processing what they experienced.”

Kane County Coroner Dr. Monica Silva extended her condolences, stating, “On behalf of my entire staff, I wish to relay our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Ms. Barclay and Mr. Heineman.”

The Aurora Police Department encourages anyone struggling with the emotional aftermath to contact APD’s Crisis Intervention Unit at 630-256-2483. Those experiencing a mental health crisis should call 988 or 911.
