Dayton, Ohio — The Dayton community is mourning the tragic loss of Uldus Shokhzodayeva, 19, who died in a devastating crash on Saturday. Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and neighbors heartbroken.

According to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred before noon at the intersection of Troy Street and Stanley Avenue. A 911 caller reported, “there’s a bad wreck, a very bad wreck,” adding that “there’s a car under a semi.” The caller noted that a tan vehicle may have run a red light, striking a white vehicle that then went under the semi. Emergency crews responded promptly, but despite their efforts, Uldus tragically lost her life at the scene. Her next of kin have been notified.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding a suspect or the exact circumstances of the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Uldus will be remembered for the light, joy, and warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence touched the lives of friends, family, and all who knew her. Though her life was cut far too short, the memories she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
