N.Y. — The city of Buffalo is grieving the tragic and untimely death of 32-year-old Alexis Navaroli, who was killed on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in a violent incident that began in Cheektowaga and ended in Buffalo. According to authorities, Alexis was struck by a vehicle on Walden Avenue, between Hedwig Avenue and Alexander Street, shortly before 4 p.m. Witnesses reported gunfire from the driver involved, creating a terrifying scene for residents in the area.
Witnesses described a scene of chaos and fear. Nearby resident Scott Le recalled, “I did hear gunshots out of my window. I have never seen anything like this.” Another neighbor, Elijah Pagan, added, “I looked and everything was going crazy. It’s not something you want to see; you’ve got kids that come and play at the corner of the street.”
Alexis was found deceased at the scene, and authorities confirmed her identity. The vehicle involved was later discovered to be inoperable, and the driver allegedly carjacked another individual at gunpoint before fleeing. Police apprehended 37-year-old Gary Green Jr. in Buffalo, recovering a handgun, and he has been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. Green remains in custody pending a psychiatric evaluation and upcoming felony hearing.
