In Loving Memory of Jennifer Huffman

The Beaumont community is grieving the tragic loss of 44-year-old Jennifer Huffman, who passed away early Sunday morning following an auto-pedestrian crash on Interstate 10 North. Beaumont Police were called around 4:35 a.m. to the 400 block of I-10 after reports of a woman walking in the roadway. Minutes later, another caller reported she had been struck by a vehicle.

Officers arrived and found Jennifer with injuries that proved fatal. She was pronounced at rest at the scene. Police say one of the drivers involved remained on-site, cooperated fully with investigators, and provided a statement to assist in understanding the circumstances.

Northbound lanes of I-10 were closed for several hours as the Beaumont Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a detailed investigation. On Tuesday, authorities confirmed Jennifer’s identity and notified her family, who now face an unimaginable heartbreak.

Jennifer is remembered as a warm, caring, and compassionate woman—someone who brought light into the lives of those around her. Her unexpected passing has left family, friends, and the community deeply shaken, reflecting on the life of a woman taken far too soon.

The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Beaumont Police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers or the P3 Tips app.

As loved ones mourn, Jennifer’s spirit lives on through the love she shared, the kindness she showed, and the memories she leaves behind.
May she rest peacefully.
