WICHITA, Kan. – The community is grieving the tragic loss of Nicholas Wade Garcia, 33, of Newton, who was killed early Sunday morning in a pedestrian accident on Kansas Highway 15. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says Garcia was struck shortly after 12:30 a.m. while in the roadway south of MacArthur Road. Despite the quick response of deputies and EMS, Garcia succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
