S.C. — The community of Woodruff is in mourning following the tragic death of 7-year-old Caius Blakley, who lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash in Greenville County on the afternoon of November 15, 2025. The crash occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m. at the intersection of Augusta Road and Matrix Parkway, leaving families, friends, and neighbors heartbroken.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), four vehicles were involved. A 2019 Jeep SUV carrying Caius was turning left onto Matrix Parkway from Augusta Road when it was struck by a 2018 Ford pickup truck traveling southbound. The impact caused both vehicles to collide with a 2018 Mitsubishi SUV and a 2005 Honda sedan. While the driver of the Ford was unharmed, several others were transported to local hospitals, including three passengers from the Mitsubishi.
Tragically, Caius, a rear-seat passenger in the Jeep, was rushed to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Emergency Department, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for Monday.
