Minn. — The Shakopee community is grieving the tragic loss of 29-year-old Jasmine Jayde Nanclares, who was killed Saturday in a wrong-way crash on Highway 169 in Bloomington. The fatal collision occurred at the Highway 169 and Anderson Lakes Parkway interchange, leaving friends, family, and neighbors heartbroken.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jasmine was driving a Pontiac traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with a northbound Hyundai. The impact caused the Hyundai to strike a northbound pickup truck. Tragically, Jasmine was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai, 25-year-old Nasteho Rashid Dagane, also of Shakopee, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the pickup, both 18 years old, were unharmed. Investigators confirmed that all other occupants were wearing seatbelts, while it remains unknown whether Jasmine was restrained or if alcohol played a role.
Those who knew Jasmine remember her as a bright, kind-hearted, and loving young woman whose presence brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. Friends and family describe her as full of life, energy, and laughter—a life full of promise tragically cut short.
“This is an unimaginable loss,” said a family friend. “Jasmine had so much ahead of her. She touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.”
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the wrong-way collision. Meanwhile, the Shakopee community is rallying around Jasmine’s loved ones, offering prayers, support, and comfort as they cope with this devastating loss.
Jasmine Jayde Nanclares’ life, though far too short, left a lasting impact on those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, warmth, and spirit will be remembered, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
