EL PASO, TX – The El Paso community is mourning the tragic loss of Natanael Mejia, 33, who died in a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 10 westbound near mile marker 0 late Thursday night, November 13, 2025.
According to authorities, Natanael was driving a Chevrolet pickup when the vehicle began weaving on the roadway before coming to a stop in the number two lane for reasons still under investigation. An 18-wheeler traveling behind the pickup was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of the vehicle. Emergency responders transported Natanael to a local hospital, but despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Natanael is remembered as a kind, generous, and hard-working individual who touched the lives of everyone around him. Friends and family describe him as someone who always had a smile to share and a helping hand for those in need. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his loved ones and the wider community.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and have asked anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, the El Paso community has rallied to support Natanael’s family during this difficult time.
