Brittany was critically injured when her vehicle was struck head-on by a wrong-way driver just north of the Highway 15 interchange. Despite being rushed to the hospital for emergency care, she later died from the severe injuries she sustained. Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed she had been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.
